Falck Fire Services UK is very pleased to announce that following a recent competitive tender process, it will continue to provide mobile CCTV technology and operators across the whole of the former Redcar Steelworks site for a further year.
Since April 2018, the mobile CCTV response service has further enhanced Falck’s prevention, detection and apprehension capabilities, proving a valuable asset in the operation of a much broader security response strategy with the aim of preserving the safety of people and property on the site. In retaining this key contract, the CCTV equipment will continue to complement Falck’s manned guarding provision renewed last year, providing South Tees Site Company Ltd (STSC) with a comprehensive approach to the security of their site.
Mark Buttitta, STSC’s Head of Security, said:
“The flexibility and capability of the technology and operators supplied by Falck has been instrumental in protecting the site’s people and assets against an often challenging and changing environment. This additional layer of resilience will only serve to enhance the site’s reputation as a terrific development opportunity for businesses looking to move into the area.”
We look forward to more exciting opportunities in the future where we can add value and play an active role in supporting positive development projects in the North East.”
South Tees Site Company Ltd (STSC) and its sister company South Tees Development Corporation (STDC) are leading the redevelopment of the former steelworks site near Middlesbrough in the North East of England, undertaking one of the largest industrial redevelopment projects in the UK.
